International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance, 2006

This Convention defines the concept of “enforced disappearances” and obliges States to criminalize these acts and take appropriate measures to investigate them. Part II of the treaty establishes a Committee on Enforced Disappearances.
