Mare Terra Mediterranean Foundation
For 25 years, the Mare Terra Mediterranean Foundation (Mare Terra Fundació Mediterrània) has presented the "Premis Ones Mediterrània" Awards in order to recognize and promote projects and initiatives aimed at promoting the defence of human rights, the protection of the environment and social development.
This year The Guernica Group has been awarded the "Premis Ones Mediterrània" Prize 2019, receiving the "Foca Mediterrània Special Mention" for its recent establishment as an international group designed to fight effectively against the impunity of those who commit international crimes and violations of human rights. The Mare Terra Mediterranean Foundation (Mare Terra Fundació Mediterrània) has highlighted in particular the efforts of The Guernica Group aimed at safeguarding the rights of victims of human rights violations, through the support and promotion of national and local measures aimed at the reconciliation of communities and the consolidation of peace.
Almudena Bernabeu, renowned international lawyer and co-founder of The Guernica Group, stated:

The Guernica Group is an innovative international initiative that brings together experienced advocates, researchers and other professionals from various fields with the aim of bringing to justice the authors of international crimes and serious violations of human rights. With the promotion of justice and sustainability as core values, The Guernica Group works in the field and in collaboration with the affected communities, providing solid responses to the victims through the strengthening of systems of accountability, truth, reparation, and non-compliance.
The Mare Terra Fundació Mediterrània Foundation is a non-profit organisation that works towards the recovery and conservation of the environment through social awareness and the promotion of sustainable development. The "Premis Ones" Prizes, organized together with the Tarragona City Council, enjoy high prestige in the national and international scope.
The Gala of Delivery of the XXV Prizes "Premis Ones Mediterrània" will take place on 7 June 2019, at 20:00 hours at the Metropol Theatre in Tarragona. The event will gather more than 500 people from all social sectors, including representatives of the political, business and cultural world.

Desde hace 25 años, la fundación Mare Terra Fundació Mediterrània entrega los premios “Premis Ones Mediterrània” con la finalidad de reconocer y potenciar los proyectos e iniciativas destinadas a impulsar la defensa de los derechos humanos, la protección del medio ambiente y el desarrollo social.
Este año el Grupo Guernica ha sido galardonado con el premio “Premis Ones Mediterrània” 2019, recibiendo la “Mención Especial Foca Mediterrània” por su reciente constitución como grupo internacional diseñado para luchar de manera efectiva contra la impunidad de quienes cometen crímenes internacionales y violaciones de derechos humanos. La fundación Mare Terra Fundació Mediterrània ha destacado especialmente los esfuerzos del Grupo Guernica dirigidos a salvaguardar los derechos de las víctimas de las violaciones de derechos humanos, a través del apoyo y la promoción de medidas nacionales y locales orientadas a la reconciliación de las comunidades y la consolidación de la paz.

La fundación Mare Terra Fundació Mediterrània es una entidad sin ánimo de lucro que trabaja hacia la recuperación y conservación del medio ambiente a través de la sensibilización social y la promoción del desarrollo sostenible. Los premios “Premis Ones”, organizados junto el Ayuntamiento de Tarragona, gozan de un alto prestigio en el ámbito nacional e internacional.
La gala de entrega de los XXV premios “Premis Ones Mediterrània” tendrá lugar el próximo 7 de junio de 2019 a las 20:00 horas en el Teatre Metropol de Tarragona. El acto reunirá a más de 500 personas de todos los sectores sociales, incluyendo a representantes del mundo político, empresarial y cultural.
