The Guernica Group Holds Second Annual Meeting

In order to accomplish the Guernica Vision and create a truly international and sustainable platform, from 21 to 24 October 2018, members of the three organisations comprising The Guernica Group —Guernica 37 International Justice Chambers in London, G37 Despacho Internacional in Madrid and The Guernica Centre for International Justice in California— came together for our Second Annual Meeting at our London headquarters at The Bloomsbury Building.

During these four inspiring days, our group of international criminal and human rights lawyers coordinated activities, discussed new projects and jointly reflected on our common challenges for the future. This meeting constituted an opportunity to strengthen our team, reinforce Guernica’s foundational values and principles, set out the Guernica Vision and Approach and continue working together to realise our common aspiration for international justice.

Moreover, we would like to share with all of you the joy of celebrating our second anniversary with the panel discussion “Transitional Justice Mechanisms in Conflict and Post-Conflict Scenarios”, which took place on 22 October 2018 in our offices at The Bloomsbury Building.

We would like to extend our thanks and gratitude to Advisory Board Members HHJ Joanna Korner CMG QC and Ambassador Stephen J. Rapp, who accompanied us in both the panel discussion and during our internal meetings, building on their wide experience to provide valuable guidance for the group’s next steps.
